Surgical Hair Restoration

Surgical hair restoration is the process of treating male and female pattern baldness either by harvesting hair follicles and placing them to the balding areas of the scalp or by removing the balding areas and stretching adjacent hair bearing tissue in to place to cover the gap.
Surgical hair restoration can aid in recovering hair lost due to post-surgical scarring and can correct previous failed hair transplantations. This process can also restore scalp and facial hair loss from burns and other traumatic injuries. Surgical hair restoration has also been used in hair loss due to congenital causes or after oncologic resections (or the resection of melanoma and other skin malignancies).
